London’s Premium Architectural Practice Host Annual Summer Party
Last week saw the return of Lees Associates’ fun annual summer party, which it held on the garden terrace of its studio in London Bridge. There were well over 100 guests at the informal event, which included a barbecue with delicious savoury and sweet kebabs, all sourced from the local Borough Market, and a hard-fought battle to see who would be crowned the LA Table Football Champions of 2022.
Andrew Paulson, Partner at Lees Associates, said: “Our summer party is an opportunity for us to get together with clients, collaborators, and friends. We enjoy hosting our guests at the studio and every one of our team plays a personal role in the party. Last year’s event was scaled back due to the pandemic; this year we were back with a bang, and the feedback we have received since clearly demonstrates that the prime-London market is a close-knit community of outstanding professionals who enjoy a good get-together!”
Lees Associates also used the party as an opportunity to launch the stunning new brochure for its unique, architect-led measured building surveys service, LA Surveys. Using the latest point cloud scanning technology, they produce incredibly detailed and accurate BIM (Building Information Modelling) models for their own projects, as well as offering it as a standalone service.
Vishal Baichande, Associate and Director of Surveys, said: “We launched LA Surveys nearly three years ago and it has gone from strength-to-strength. We were encountering so many different issues with measured surveys that we received from third parties, not just basic inaccuracies but also a lack of understanding of what an Architect actually needs from a survey, that we decided to start doing them ourselves… and before we knew it our bespoke service, LA Surveys, was born! The brochure launch at our annual party officially announced our venture to the prime market here in London and to the rest of the UK.”
Despite a few short showers that sent guests huddling under the gazebos, it did not put a dampener on proceedings. The LA Table Football tournament was as competitive as always. Congratulations to the pairing of Jon Lucocq of Egan Lucocq and Mark Passfield of Adair, who were crowned the overall champions, receiving the much-coveted engraved glass trophy, which they get to proudly keep until next year.
