The Savoy Hotel
The largest project at The Savoy in almost one hundred years.
LA London oversaw the largest project in almost one hundred years at the Savoy Hotel, an extension which added 88 new bedrooms and bathrooms to this historic building.
Retaining the 1930s art deco style
The new exterior was clad in hand-finished glazed ceramic tiles, which were manufactured to obtain a match for the patina and range of hues of the original glazed bricks.
The bathrooms were finished using hand-selected book- matched marble and mahogany panelling, complete with chrome fittings and accessories.
LA London worked in conjunction with English Heritage and Westminster Planning Department to develop concepts which ensured the retention of much of the earlier 1930s Art Deco styling so prevalent in the hotel.
